GOD IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY TO SEE A NOT TOTALLY DEAD COMMUNITY FOR THIS TASTY GAME!!!!!!!!

i am.... completely obsessed with this game at the moment. my boyfriend and i bought it a few years ago... he played it first, so naturally i had to wait (i just... can't spoil it for myself). then i kind of forgot about it. BUT! i am now playing it with a vigor that should be illegal. argh, i love it.

however... my fangirly mind is now coming up with the most slashable options possible (hhhn, Gil). hnngh, i wish there were some more yaoi/slash pretty arts and fanfics for this game. *sigh* well, i bet there are plenty in japanese.... but not in english. D: i guess maybe i'll have to make some of my own.....

Hello, just joined the community :) I played Radiata Stories for the first time this summer and loved it! Which got me thinking...

If you lived in Radiata, which guild would you want to join? (Or what group of non-humans would you want to be part of?)
I'm torn between the Olacion Order and Vareth Magic Institute.

So, for those of you who don't already know, Radiata Stories was recieved well enough in Japan that they decided to make two 5-chapter manga. The first is called The Epic of Jack and the other is called The Song of Ridley. I've also seen anime clips floating around YouTube, but I don't really know much about that.

Scanlations of The Epic of Jack are on this site and they intend to translate The Song of Ridley, though I'm not sure when.

Has anyone checked this out? Thoughts?

I'm personally not too crazy about it (they've changed a couple things and I'm not a fan of the art style or the way many of the women are drawn), but let's hear what everyone else thinks.

I must say, it's really a crying shame that this game got such a lukewarm reception outside of Japan. I think the F!S post that started this does indicate that there are certainly fans out there, we just have to find them and try to draw them in before we can create any kind of a fandom at all.

Perhaps we should try to get our respective f-lists interested?

Anyway, welcome to everyone. The only rule I have is play nice or else I'll have to interject and break up your arguments with somewhat arbitrary rules about exactly how mean you can be to one another. I'm not bothering to write it down because I doubt we'll run into that problem, unless there's a ship war about who gets to be with Ridley just waiting to emerge.

Enjoy your stay, and please promote us to fellow fans whenever possible!

To those of you who I solicited to come here: Thank you for not shooting me, and I hope you join up. If you would like to tell me that I'm being rude, please direct your ire to my personal journal.
